You are perfect!!

Just sent dad off at the airport..he was here for business trip..For the past 3 days, he'd been giving me lectures about life..

"You should..."
"You must.."
"You have to try to..."
"That's what you are here for..."

He had repeated these sentences for zillions of times..each time i heard something which I didn't agree with , I gave my points to defend myself. Then he said..

"No..you don't get what I meant.."
"I'm not blaming you for what you should or shouldn't do..I'm just explaining to you.."

Then I kept quiet and chose not to react much and just nodded my head repeatedly..I realised why I reacted that way..I just don't like criticism..say something nice to me..something which I like to listen to..

When I was on the way back after sending dad off, I was wondering..everyone likes to listen to nice and sweet words..compliments followed by compliments..those might be something we like to hear..but are those REALLY what we want to hear? Dad might be right..dad might not be wrong..but this is after all not the main point..I should be receptive to criticism and comments on myself..I should not feel offended when being criticised..or else I'll never learn..never improve..I'm not as matured as what I have thought..I have much more to learn about life..

Only time will get me there...

Malaysian? Chinese?

Haven't been blogging for quite some time. Malaysian friends came over last night to try out my first ever TomYam Fried Rice! Haha..turned out to be not too bad..and thanks Douglas for rating my fried rice 4.95 out of 5..Hmm..being away from Malaysia is already a challenge..describing that I am a Chinese Malaysian has given me more than a hard time..I have been mistaken by many that I am from China.

"You are from China, right?"
"Errmm..nope..I'm from Malaysia.."
"Oohh..I see..But you look like a Chinese.."
"Eerrmmm..Yup..I'm a Chinese..But I'm from Malaysia.."
"OOoohhhh..I see...You mean migrated there?"
"EErrrrrmmmmm...not really..I was born in Malaysia..and I'm a Malaysian.."
"Blahh..Blahh..Blahhh......."
"...."

But no regret being a Malaysian..Thanks to the British who colonised Tanah Melayu..When most of the Chinese here are having difficulty to converse in English, we Malaysians have no hard time communicating with the students from other countries..They were surprised that we can actually speak Chinese as well. Bukan itu saje..kami pun boleh cakap Melayu..我地仲识讲广东话 ! Haha...MALAYSIA BOLEH!!! But when it comes to German..Adrian tak boleh lah..Mein Deutsch ist noch schlecht! Hardly have the chance to practise much as I'm in an International Degree Program where most of the students are not Germans..so..I need some more, more, more time..

Life has not been too bad here..but it's just getting colder here..and I just can't find any Char Siu Bao here..and life just seems a bit boring here..and I'm just so lost here..Anyhow, I am lucky enough to have some seniors watching my back..I also have many other Hong Kong artists from TVB and Scofield from the prison to accompany me..Ahaa..

Hmm..have been wondering how my buddies in Form6 doing their STPM now..They are gonna face something I faced half a year ago at TAR College..It's like so desperate to have all the exams done as soon as possible, but at the same time being caught in a dilemma that their school days together are numbered. After 18months of Pre-U course, friends are leaving each other for their ambitions..Life is realistic..So the least thing we can do is to keep connected with the best and true friends we possess..label them the "Life-Long Friends"..

All the best buddies!!

One Nasi Lemak Please..

I have been here in Germany for almost 2 weeks...After class at 10am, I went to get the timetable for my interdisciplinary labs with my Bulgarian friend, Alex. Then went to the insurance agency to inquire on my insurance stuff, of course. So far I have got familiar with the area within my hostel area. I can as well take trams to classes and trains to the neighboring cities. However I have yet to get used to the culture and lifestyle here. I miss the days whereby I took some steps to the nearby Ramly Burger stalls and also Mamak stalls to relieve my hunger pangs. Here is totally different!Almost all restaurants and shops are closed by 7pm. Hmm..I could easily get NLP(Nasi Lemak Panas) and hang out at Murni at night. And I can't get to watch EPL matches. I don't even know a shit whether Christiano Ronaldo has scored a goal from half a field away or Fernando Alonso has signed up a new contract with Chelsea after the leaving McLaren F1 team. Hiezz..still trying to keep up the pace with the lectures. The students from China have learned everything taught by the lecturers. I am so far behind!! Must work harder. Here I need to improve not only my German language, I still have to improve my 'Pu Tong Hua'. Haha..So my friends, don't be surprised to see a typical Chinese friend back in Malaysia. Life is boring to me at the moment and I hope to see some improvements later. Okay..that's for all today. Gonna have instant pizza for dinner!! Guten Appetit!!!
